Walter “Lloyd” Davis, 88, of Amarillo, died on Saturday October 10, 2020. There are no services scheduled at this time. Lloyd was born October 19, 1931 in Hart, Texas to Judd and M.E. Davis. He graduated from Hart High School, and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army. Lloyd worked as a farmer for many years, and then did combining throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas. He was a truck driver for Hyman Farms in Dimmitt before retiring. In his spare time, Lloyd loved going dancing with friends, and travelling to Ruidoso to go to the horse races. He was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church, and enjoyed going to lunch with his Sunday school class. He adored his schnauzer, Rowdy. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Radonda Diane Davis. Survivors include a son, Lonny Davis and wife Cindy of Canyon; a daughter, Kim Cummins and husband Herbert of Pearland; three sisters, Edna Kittrell and Laverne McLain and husband Tom all of Hart, and Patsy Benson and husband R.L. of Brownwood; five grandchildren, Jay Davis and wife Roxanne of Dumas, Shane Nance and wife Amy of Pearland, Joshua Nance and wife Brooke of Deer Park, Kailey Cummins, and Kaileb Cummins and wife Bethany all of Pearland; eight great-grandchildren, Haydn, Sequin, Katelyn and husband John, Peyton, Kendall, Kylie, Kayden, Kolten, Braxton, and Kambrey; one great-great-granddaughter, Kinley (due to arrive next month); and several loving nieces and nephews.
