Arlis was born February 11, 1947 in Wheeler, TX to William and Laverene Edwards. He attended Caprock High School, then went on to Amarillo College where he obtained an Associate’s degree in Electronics. Arlis proudly served his country in The United States Army. He met and married Theresa Marvin on December 31, 1992. Together they have shared over thirty amazing years together and countless memories. Arlis truly enjoyed fishing for all kinds of fish and hunting when he could get the chance. He had a passion for sharing his knowledge and wisdom to his children and grandchildren. Arlis taught his crew how to fish, to camp, mow with the riding lawnmower, cook, and even how to make his famous gravy. He would build anything for his grands from swing sets to swimming pool or two. Arlis would often take his grandbabies to Home Depot on Saturday’s for the workshops, to see what they could build next. He loved to fix and tinker with things of all sorts, amazingly he could fix anything. Arlis loved everyone unconditionally and they loved him back. His true love was his wife, Theresa, whom he loved more than anything. They would go two-stepping and even share a waltz or two. Without fail Arlis would always hold his wife’s hand everywhere they went. He was an amazing, kind, patient man. Arlis will deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Darella Edwards; his step-daughter, Ashlee Beccera.
