Yvonne Moneymaker Apodaca, 56, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 10, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Jose Apodaca officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the funeral home.
Yvonne was born December 24, 1964 in Fort Benning, Georgia to Billy and Maria Moneymaker. She graduated from Palo Duro High School and earned her associate degree at Amarillo College. She married the love of her life, Robert in 1983. In her spare time, Yvonne loved spending time with her “grandluvs”; they were her whole world. They called her “Goose”. She was a loving, kind and nurturing person. She was a huge Yankees fan and an avid reader, especially romantic novels. She enjoyed sending tik toks to her daughters and doing crafts and spending time with her husband. Yvonne also enjoyed shopping with her mother for their grandluvs.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Moneymaker, and her granddaughter, Kadence Montano.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Apodaca; three daughters, Litney Apodaca (Ricardo Castillo), Denise Montano (Cameron), and Jennifer Apodaca all of Amarillo; her bonus daughter, Diana Molina of Amarillo; her mother, Maria Moneymaker of Amarillo; her sister, Yvette Williams (Kurt) of Jasper, TX; and her five “grand-luvs”, Sydnee Fuentes, Kyron Wooten, Zyriah Castillo, Kameron Montano, and Kaiden Castillo. Survivors also include a list of multiple nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.
