After an over 30-year career in public education and several years in real estate, school construction, and architecture, Mike decided he wanted to spend more time with his grandchildren, travel, and serve others. He found one of those opportunities at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
When his mother-in-law passed away in January of 2023, Cox-Rowley Funeral Home handled all of the arrangements. Mike saw firsthand how the staff took care of, loved, served, and supported his wife, Stacey, and their family during this time of loss. Afterwards, Mike talked with the staff and found that they needed additional people to assist with funeral services, and he has been assisting with funeral services since March of 2023.
When Mike is not helping with a funeral or building ramps with the Texas Ramp Project, he enjoys traveling to see God’s creation and spending quality time with his kids and grandchildren. Mike is a member of the Church at Quail Creek, where he serves as a greeter, a member of the security team, and a deacon.
His life verse is 1 Peter 4:10, “God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”
