Juanita Melendez

Juanita G. Melendez, 82, of Amarillo, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 08, 2019, Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Juanita G. Melendez was born June 24, 1936 in Alice, Texas. She married Juan M. Melendez on June 24, 1960. They lived in Dimmitt, Texas for over 30 years. Juanita moved to Amarillo to live with her son Tony Melendez in 1990. She attended Jan Warner’s Adult Day Care for many years. She enjoyed being with her grandsons, Cory and Ryan Melendez.

Juanita is survived by her children Tony Melendez and wife Marti and grandsons Cory Melendez and Ryan Melendez of Amarillo, Texas; Juanita Luevano married to Raul Luevano of Park Forest, Ill and Rolando Melendez of Atlanta, GA, six grandsons.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and husband Juan M. Melendez of Dimmitt, Texas who passed away December of 1998.
